Welcome to The Hood!

The Hood (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is an online English-speaking community for adults in Vietnam. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) explain your rights and responsibilities when joining and using The Hood — whether through our Slack workspace, website, events, or other platforms. By joining The Hood, you agree to these Terms.

1. Membership

  • Eligibility — You must be 18 years or older to join.

  • English Only Rule — All communication inside The Hood must be in English.

  • Respect & Conduct — No bullying, hate speech, harassment, spam, or inappropriate content.

  • Account Responsibility — You are responsible for your account security and all activity under it.

  • Termination — We may remove members who break the rules or harm the community.
     

2. Payment & Refunds

  • Membership Fee — Standard fee: 1,000,000 VND/month unless you join on a special offer.

  • Free Trial & Special Offers — Any trial or discount is time-limited and may change.

  • Refunds — Membership fees are non-refundable once payment is processed.

  • Billing — Fees are billed monthly in advance. You can cancel anytime, but no partial refunds will be given.
     

3. Community Features

Your membership may include:

  • Slack conversation channels.

  • Games, challenges, and events.

  • Live & recorded masterclasses.

  • Online & offline meetups.

  • Feedback and community support.

Features may be updated, added, or removed as needed.
 

4. Personal Responsibility

  • We are not responsible for your safety at offline meetups — always meet in safe, public places.

  • The Hood is not a replacement for formal English lessons.

  • Any advice or feedback in The Hood is for general learning purposes only.
     

5. Privacy & Data

We respect your privacy. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
You must not share other members’ personal information without their consent.
 

6. Intellectual Property

  • All original content belongs to us or the creator.

  • Do not copy, distribute, or sell content without permission.

  • By posting in The Hood, you grant us permission to share your contributions for community promotion (unless you ask us not to).
     

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms anytime. If changes are major, we’ll notify you via email or Slack.
